Affiliate Disclosure

Last Updated: October 22, 2026

TL;DR: We may earn small commissions when you buy parts or tools we recommend — at zero extra cost to you. We NEVER recommend products we don't genuinely believe in. Full FTC-compliant disclosure below.

FTC Compliance Statement

This disclosure complies with the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) guidelines for disclosing affiliate relationships, as set forth in the "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising" (16 CFR Part 255).

Amazon Associates Program

Dryer Troubleshoot is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.

This means that when you click certain links on our website and make a purchase on Amazon, we may receive a commission (typically 1-10% of the purchase price, depending on the product category). This commission comes at no additional cost to you — Amazon pays it from their own profits.

The full affiliate disclosure notice is displayed prominently on all product recommendation articles on this site:

"As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. We may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you when you click affiliate links. We only recommend genuine parts and tools we trust."

How This Affects Our Recommendations

Honestly? It doesn't. Here's our process for every product we recommend:

  1. Research — We compare multiple brands, read real customer reviews, and check compatibility with common dryer models
  2. Identify the best option — Based on quality, price, and availability, not commission rate
  3. Find where to buy — If our top pick is on Amazon, we link to it (with an affiliate ID). If it's only at a local parts store, we say so

We have no incentive to recommend a more expensive product — Amazon's affiliate rates are the same regardless of price. We also don't accept free products or sponsored posts from manufacturers.

Google AdSense

We also display advertisements from Google AdSense on our website. These are displayed as clearly-marked ad slots and do not influence our content or recommendations in any way. Google may serve ads based on your general browsing behavior, but we cannot control or see the specific ads shown to you.

Other Affiliate Programs

Beyond Amazon, we may occasionally participate in other reputable affiliate programs for appliance parts and tools (such as appliancepartspros.com, repairclinic.com, or sears partsdirect). Any such relationships will be disclosed on the specific article where they appear.

You can trust Dryer Troubleshoot because:
  • ✅ We write for homeowners, not sales targets
  • ✅ We tell you what to fix AND what to ignore
